Over the past several months, I have started to incorporate meditation into my daily practice. I admit that I am not alway successful but have noticed my day is overall better when I do so. I also joined a meditation challenge for the month of January.
Today I received the following notification:
Meditators are 10X more likely to develop a habit if they meditate 3 times in their first week.
As a person who likes to know the data behind this I tried to google search the info but then decided to just let it be. I decided that this is information in which I agree with. I have tried to meditate on and off over the years because I have heard it is “so beneficial” and “good for you”. I would try it here and there but nothing ever really felt right. Then for some reason, I decided to just give it a try using a free app. If you are like me, you may sign up for the free version of an app and then never want to pay for it. Well I decided to give it a go and engaged in the practice several times within my free week trial. Again, I did not want to pay for anything so I ended up finding meditations through audible. I feel like practicing multiple times within that week is what got me going. Okay, Okay so this goes against the idea that this needs to be done within the first week but I’m okay with that… and the fact I have nothing to back up this claim.
Additionally, during my mindful morning challenge this morning, I learned that what you experience during the first 30 minutes of your day ends up being the trajectory of your day. Again no data for this. Just throwing it out there. What do you think? Do you have a moringin routine?
