Day 244; One thing I learned today…

Rachel Hopman, PhD. researches the cognitive benefits of from spending time in nature. How cool is that!?! She follows a 20-3-5 Rule. 20 minutes of time in nature 3 times per week. The key is to allow yourself to just be in nature without a screen attached. This could be stalling through a city park or garden. Benefits include a boost in cognition and memory. 5 is the minimum amount of hours each month your should spend in semi-wild nature such as a state park. 3 days per year she suggests spending time off the grid in nature engaging in activities such as tent camping or renting a secluded cabin.

Do you fall into these guidelines? I am happy to report we will be off grid this coming weekend :)
