Day 254: One thing I learned today…


Is handwriting becoming a lost art? When was the last time you sat down with a piece of paper and writing utensil and just wrote? How about when you journal? Do you use pen and paper? Over the past few years I have switched between an online based journal and a good old notebook. Come to find out, there is a benefit to handwriting over paper.


According to an IU study, a handwritten journal can be a more effective for lifestyle transformation goals. Handwriting can also help slow an individual down and help with processing. Other benefits of handwriting include comprehension and remembering, creativity, literacy development, and brain scans of children writing vs typing show an activation in the brain.
