Day 26: One thing I learned today…
Do you consider yourself a good multitaskers? I will admit that I am horrible when it comes to doing two things at once. As part of my health coaching program I learned several facts about multitasking which I will share over the next couple of days.
Evidence suggests that we are not even good multitaskers! MIT neuroscience professor Earl Miller asserts that we are literally incapable of multitasking because our brains can only process one stream of information at a time.
What do you think about this? Do you think you are the one person who is able to multitask?
When switching back and forth between two tasks we are basically creating an illusions that we are able to manage multiple stimuli. In reality it actually slows you down.
