Day 264: One thing I learned today…

Research suggests spending money on others promotes happiness with adults. Do you think this could be true of children as well? Guess what? It is. Even with children under the age of 2. A study compared multiple phases of an experiment which including sharing toy and giving treats away to a puppet. Two different phases were compared when children gave away their treats. One in which the children gave away their own treat from their bowl vs giving away a “found” treat. The study revealed that toddlers were happier when giving away their own treat than when giving the ‘‘found’’ treat. Pretty cool huh?

How does it make you feel when you donate or volunteer your time?
