Day 343: One thing I learned today…

My husband came into my office today holding up his hand. I just looked at him curious. He then told me about the origin of the “High Five” On October 2, 1977, professional baseball player, Dusty Baker of the Los Angeles Dodgers gave Glenn Burke a high five.

In 1980 the phrase was added to the Oxford English Dictionary as a noun and in 1981 as a verb. Of course, I fact checked this via google :)

I thought the high five has been around a lot longer than that.
