Day 250: One thing I learned today…
According to a recent article I read, mindful consumption means to consume consciously and with restraint, in ways that nurture the Earth.
Within the article, two studies were conducted looking at mindfulness, mindful consumption, and life satisfaction. I have come across studies addressing the benefits of mediation and mindfulness practices in regard to life satisfaction. However, until today, I was not aware of these practices influencing mindful consumption.
Those who incorporate a mediation/mindfulness practice scored higher on the Mindful Consumption Behavior Scale, a seven point Likert-type scale.
Are you a mindful consumer?
