Day 98: One thing I learned today…

Over the past year, I have started to order products through Grove, an online deliver service with a focus on sustainability and carbon offsetting with non-toxic ,cruelty free products.

I recently purchased the following products from Grove:

HiBAR Conditioner Bar- plastic free, computable/recyclable packaging

Seed HairCare- 100% post-consumer recycled paper bottles with a post-consumer recycled liner.

Soapbox Shampoo Bar- this product still came with a plastic wrapper however they are invested in improving hygiene and providing education and donations.

I tried the HiBAR conditioner and I am a fan. Now I will say it doesn’t lather up like your traditional conditioner. I really have to work it into my hair. But I am happy with the product.

Grove is currently in their Phase 1 of a Beyond Plastic mission. Currently they are considered Plastic Neutral meaning for every ounce of plastic they are using, they are collecting and recycling and ounce of plastic pollution. Grove plans to go completely Plastic free by 2025.

Next items I am going to try:

Hello- plastic free toothpaste tabs

Other ways we are trying to reduce plastic in our house:

Toilet Paper and Paper towels, Seedling by Grove = 99% plastic free using sustainable bamboo.

Refillable Glass Spray bottles for cleaning solutions

Refillable Glass Laundry Vessel

Reusable Plastic Bags

Reusable Straws

Wooden Reusable silverware

Beeswrap

We have a far way to go with this process but every little thing can help.

What are the ways in which you are trying to reduce plastic waste?
