Day 251: One thing I learned today…
I was not feeling great today while I was out running errands. I decided to grab a Canada Dry ginger ale because that’s what I did when I was younger. Without even thinking about it I drank an entire 20oz bottle. I do not typically drink much pop but it did help with feeling better. I think that was just in my head. Anyways later I looked at the bottle and realized there were 59g of sugar in it!
I also learned that 88% of adults have at least one marker of poor metabolic health (blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol) which goes back to blood sugar regulation and insulin resistance.
Hmmm wonder if a sugary drink has anything to do with that?
Do you know your numbers?
Also, do you drink ginger ale when you are not feeling well?
