Day 241: One thing I learned today…
Reading through a weekly newsletter by Dr. Amy Shah, I was introduced to the term Sisu. This is a Finnish concept without an exact word in the English language to compare to. Its meaning roughly translates to grit, bravery, determination or tenacity.
When was the last time you took actions against the odds?
Have you had an opportunity to display courage in the face of adversity?
Are you deciding the course of action for your own life?
What if failure ensues? Will you keep at it?
I was also introduced to the phrase, “failing forward” by a fellow coach. I think this fits in with this concept. Learning from a situation in which you may consider a failure in order to learn and grow - and keep at it.
