Day 174: One thing I learned today…
What would you do if given $40 to spend?
Option One: Time-saving purchase
Option Two: Material good
A 2017 study provided 60 working adults with $40 on two separate weekends. One weekend they were told to spend the money on a time-saving purchase. The other weekend the money was to be spent on a material purchase. Participants reported the time saving purchase led to more positive moods.
Interestingly, when asking other working adults how they would spend $40, only 2% planned to make a time-saving invest.
What type of time-saving purchases have you made?
